INNOVATIVE DISC BRAKE BY OSENIN

A special feature of the disc brake is the combination of friction materials that have different costs and properties.
The implementation of innovation guarantees:
- A minimum 30% reduction in the cost of disc brakes compared to carbon-based disc brakes.
- Reducing by half the volume of costly friction materials (such as carbon-based, metal-ceramic, etc.) used in manufacturing disc brakes.
- Reducing the cost of recycling friction material by half.
- Elimination of operational disadvantages of one friction material by leveraging the properties of another.
- A high and stable coefficient of friction across the entire range of operating temperatures experienced during braking.
Source of savings:
- Differences in cost and properties combined in friction units of friction materials.
- Possibility of combining expensive friction materials with materials of a lower price segment.
Testing the innovative disc brake:
The test was carried out on a full-scale stand. Comparative experiments were carried out for a disc brake with carbon-based working materials and an innovative disc brake. In the innovative disc brake, the brake disc of friction unit A is made of carbon-based material. Brake disc of friction unit B is made of steel.
Brake lining of friction unit A is made of carbon-based material. Brake lining of friction unit B is automobile lining.

DISC BRAKE ELEMENTS LIQUID COOLING

Innovative ideas implemented in disc brake:
— application of heat-removing element to liquid cooling system under the conditions of sliding contact with disc brake;
— application of technical water as process liquid to cool the elements of disc brake.
The benefits of disc brake compared with the analogues:
— disc brake elements liquid cooling ensures 15% decrease in operational temperature and 30% increase in friction coefficient;
— decrease in thermal stresses of disc brake operating elements.
